2006年4月27日，奥地利Vexcel公司首席摄影测量专家Michael Gruber博士到我室访问，并作了题为“Digital Image Acquisition and 3D City Modeling”的学术报告。测绘遥感信息工程国家重点实验室学术委员会主任李德仁院士和我校张祖勋院士亲切会见了Gruber博士一行。

Apr. 27, 2006, Dr. Michael Gruber came to our lab and gave the presentation of “Digital Image Acquisition and 3D City Modeling”. Since October 1999 Michael Gruber is full time staff of Vexcel Imaging Austria. He is responsible for all photogrammetric issues (Chief Scientist Photogrammetry) at Vexcel. Michael Gruber holds several US patents for developments in digital photogrammetry, among them the basic concept of the digital aerial camera UltraCamD. BTW, Microsoft has announced they will acquire the Vexcel.
